The Event is a hackathon run by PHAS3 LTD (UK Company Number 13912546; referred to as “phas3” in this document) intended for furthering innovation in decentralised science (DeSci).

By registering, and submitting any work, code, software, or other items (a “Submission”) to The Event, you are confirming that you understand and accept these Terms & Conditions. If you are doing so on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind the entity to this Agreement, in which case “you” will mean the entity you represent.

Applicability

This policy shall be applicable to all spaces related to PHAS3 LTD., including the following, as well as their online counterparts (if any):

This Code of Conduct also applies equally to all sponsors and partners of hackathons, and to all projects that are made at the hackathon.

We value the participation of all. We want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout The Event.

To make clear what is expected, all attendees and speakers are required to conform to the following Code of Conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event.

If you feel uncomfortable or think there may be a potential violation of the code of conduct, please report it immediately to one of the event organisers by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. All reporters have the right to remain anonymous.

Code of conduct

No plagiarism or re-using of past work

We encourage you to submit projects only prepared in the duration of the hackathon. However, if you decide to submit projects consisting of re-used code, or re-submit a project that you have already submitted previously to any other hackathon, you are to disclose such previous use and its extent with the submission.

If upon inspection, it is found that the project has re-used code that was not disclosed with the submission, the organiser may ask the participant to point out similarities and differences between the old and new work, and/or disqualify the submission from winning awards automatically.
